A Edit PDF application is a web application that allows users to edit the PDF file as needed in its favorite browser. More web applications are users can use it on almost any device with any operating system during the browser that is used to support it. There are several functions of applications available to help users in editing PDF files, such as copying, joining, pampat, etc. which will be explained in the next section.

Function

The function on this application will either be active or disabled according to the number of files selected. Users can select many files by pressing a Shift or Ctrl when selecting files. Here are some functions that can be used in a++ application, namely:

• Copy

  Workable to make a copy of the specified page. The user has a 10 page PDF file and wants to make a copy of page 4-7 alone, then the user can insert 4-7 as a parameter. Then press the Copy key to make a copy. If you want to make a copy with more than one parameter then users can separate it by comma (), for example 1-2, 4-6, 9-10.

• Merge

  Workable to merge the selected PDF file. The user has two or more PDF files that want to be combined, so the user just chooses both files and press the Merge key to merge them.

• Pampat

  Work to compress PDF files for smaller sizes. Suppose the user uploads 10MB files and wants to shrink them, then the user can then press the Pamp key to compress them. If the file size does not change, the file could not be compressed further.

• Encryption

  Workable to encrypt PDF files using passwords. Passwords that should be specified are two, which are passwords owner and user passwords. The owner's password is mandatory when encrypting PDF files. The difference is that when the file is opened with the user password, then the content cannot be extracted, reconstructed, or modified, and cannot be printed at high resolution.

• Decrypt

  It works to create unencrypted new files from encrypted files.

• Signatures, Watermarks, and Caps

  It works to sign, a watermark>, and a stamp on the file. The signature you wish to enter can be written on the white box provided on the top right or by selecting the letters provided then enter the word that you want to sign. Then the signature will automatically be made. The water sign and stamp is done by uploading the image file. The water sign will place the image uploaded under PDF content, while the stamp will place the image posted on top of the PDF file content.

Indicators

The Edit PDF application has some indicators that can be used for file processing. The following are some indicators on the application:

• White frame

  Work to show which file was the last selected by the user. Each user chooses the file, then this frame will mark the option as the last selected option. It does not apply when the user uses the Shift key in selecting the file.

• Yellow circle

  Work to mark new files, such as recently uploaded files or new generated files after running application functions. This circle will be lost if the user has chosen them.

• Numbers

  Work to show the selected file sequence so that it is easier for the user to set the file sequence to merge with.
